Working closely with the IRBPP and Raptor Awards, NBC Environment embarked recently on an important training and development initiative for their entire in-house Flying Team.
Their goal is to have a fully certificated flying team by early 2024, with all direct employees achieving the Raptor Awards ‘Combined Course’ program.
“We see this as an important initiative for NBC Environment which will give us a distinct business advantage when tendering for new business”, said Operations Manager Richard Henderson yesterday at the inaugural training event held In the Midlands.
The event drew their senior team leaders and newly appointed Head Falconer from all corners of the UK to undergo an intensive development session giving them the knowledge and ability to support their team members through the process of developing and demonstrating their competence in all aspects of bird control with birds of prey.
Newly appointed Head Falconer Colin Boardman said:
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of guiding the entire workforce through the process of certification. As an already established ‘Approved Assessor’ for Raptor Awards, there is a perfect fit between my skill set and the company’s ambitions”
To ensure that the process of awarding certificates is fair and transparent, Raptor Awards will provide External Verification processes to ensure parity between the NBC Team and all other Raptor Awards Candidates in the UK and abroad.
“We are extremely pleased to be able to support NBC Environment in meeting their ambitions, and will work closely to help them to ensure success” said Julie Murphy, Director Raptor Awards.
