Following the introduction of the The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 (AAL) Raptor Awards was the only organisation in the UK providing training courses and document packs for those bird of prey professionals who would become subject to licencing from October 2018 onwards.
Raptor Awards devised a full online training programme complete with all the policy and recording documents you will need to meet your licence conditions, and will save you countless hours of your time should you try to develop your own. The attached ‘Pre-Inspection Checklist’ is not only a valuable resource in the lead up to your next inspection, but its use will also earn you valuable CPD hours to help you meet your training and development obligations.
This document should be used to self-assess / check compliance with your licensing requirements for Zoo Licenses and Animal Activities Licences.
It is also useful for other inspection regimes outside of the UK.
